Power Plus
Culture & Values
More Than a Company. A Crew.
From our beginning, Power Plus has rejected rigid corporate structures and micromanagement in favor of empowering people to lead, contribute, and grow through opportunity. For nearly 40 years, that entrepreneurial, people-first mindset has not only led to meteoric growth, it continues to shape our culture today.
Power Plus is now the largest independent
power solutions provider in America.
It hasn’t always been easy. There’ve been good times and not-so-good times. But we’ve gotten to where we are by staying true to three simple principles:
- Take Care of People
- Solve Problems
- Do What You Said You’d Do
The Difference Here
Is Our People.
You see it in the way Power Plus teams work together. In how our leaders stay accessible. And in the way we answer calls after hours, step in to help each other, celebrate wins together, and genuinely enjoy being around one another. Whether that’s driving to a jobsite at 3:30 a.m., sharing stories over Thanksgiving lunch, or trying to kick each other’s behinds in our annual, company-wide Power Plus Olympics.
Our Mission
Power When You Need It.
Where You Need It.
The Power Plus mission has been simple, clear, and real since the day we opened as a Temporary Power company. And it’s never changed. Over the decades, we’ve added Generator Rentals, Generator Maintenance & Repair Services, and Designed Video Surveillance — but the mission remains the same.
Because our customers aren’t merely depending on Power Plus products. They’re counting on our people to respond, adapt, and deliver when the stakes are high.
Our Vision
Always Meet the Customer’s Needs.
Always Work to Get Better.
The vision for Power Plus has never been about becoming “corporate.” It’s always been to meet the immediate and long term needs of our customers — becoming more useful to them, getting better at solving hard problems for them, and staying supportive of our employees who work directly with them.
That means listening. Communicating honestly. Following through. Empowering our people to make decisions and take ownership instead of waiting for permission.
Our Values
It’s true that when you visit our Anaheim headquarters, you will see the six Power Plus Values mounted on the wall by our conference room. But in no way are they “corporate wall art.” Our Values are the guiding principles that inform everything we do, every single day — how we hire, how we work, how we lead, and how we treat people, both customers and coworkers alike. They’re why people stay here for years. And why customers keep calling us back.

We see our employees as whole people, with lives and families outside of Power Plus. We prioritize employee health and wellness, work life balance, and career development and it’s paid off. We have incredible longevity within the ranks of Power Plus, and most of our employees sincerely describe Power Plus as their family.

We are highly sensitive to our customers and value our relationship with them as consultative experts. We look at our customers as long term relationships and it’s important to us to bring long-term value, not just look for a quick, short-term sale.

We insist on integrity throughout the company, from an employee on their first day up to the owner of the company. This means doing what we say we’ll do, owning and correcting our mistakes, and doing the right thing even if it costs us.

Things can move quickly here, and the value of excellence in everything we do helps us remember to conduct our work to the best of our ability. Excellence takes the form of always having a human available to answer a customer call, investing in premium safety equipment, and ensuring our techs are fully trained.

Nearly 40 years of success has shown us that if we do the small things well then we will do the big things well. Whether it’s making sure our billing aligns with our customer’s billing requirements, ensuring our employees are getting the benefits they signed up for, or laying out the most efficient power system, it’s the details that lead to success.

There’s a reason why this is our sixth corporate value and our people are our first value. A business that’s not profitable does not stay in business, but that’s not our why. Company owner Steve Bray founded Power Plus because he had a vision of meeting the immediate and long term needs of his customers. Being profitable allows us to reinvest in the company through equipment, wages, and expansion and makes Power Plus a safe bet for your career.
